Five baby Humbolt Penguins have left Dudley Zoo to be part of a worldwide breeding programme. The birds have been transferred to Birdland Park, Burton-on-the-Water. The four females and a single mate, all aged two years will boost the Cotswold’s breeding colony.
Last year another five Penguins were sent from Dudley to Exmoor Zoological Gardens. [Read More]

He collected, smuggled and traded hundreds of rare bird eggs, and has been give a nine month sentence, suspended for two years.
Police raided the home of Andrew Seed back in February 2009. More than 2,000 eggs were found including Golden Eagle, Red Kite, Osprey and Peregrine Falcon. Seed admitted 40 offences at Durham Crown Court.
